Keltner

‘As a drummer, you are only as good as the other musicians you’re playing, especially the person in charge of the groove. Contrary to popular belief, it’s not the drummer who is responsible for the groove. The drummer is adding the icing to that cake. The groove is coming from the guitar playing or the keyboard player or both. The bass player and the drummer are adding the wonderful bits on top.’ (23:19)
